News

Regarding the incident from last week, I have been contacted by the distributor that Yuengling contracted to deliver their product. After the distributor was notified of the incident (albeit nearly a week after the incident occurred and was reported to Yuengling, and merely a matter of hours after the story was reported by several news sources) they called the driver and his union in to discuss. I have been told that the driver was terminated. Thank you to everybody who helped me, offered their services and time, and spread the word so that the information was finally passed along to the distributor.

Yuengling have passed along a press release:
D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. is the oldest brewery in America, priding itself in making fine quality beer and ales. Yuengling products are distributed in multiple states through independently-owned distributors and wholesalers. Yuengling was recently notified by Mr. Brad Walsh about an incident which, if accurate, is against all principles Yuengling holds true. Yuengling has confirmed that the driver of the truck involved with this incident was not an employee of Yuengling and is an employee of the independently-owned wholesaler which supplies Yuengling products to New York City residents. Yuengling does not discriminate and does not condone any discrimination against any individual on the basis of their race, religion, gender, national origin, disabilities, and/or sexual orientation. At this point, Yuengling trusts that the matter will be investigated by local authorities and the driver’s employer. Yuengling is confident that a just resolution of this matter will be forthcoming. Yuengling extends its thoughts and prayers to Mr. Walsh for a speedy recovery.
I would like to thank the distributor for their quick and appropriate action, and Yuengling for their ultimate action and their well wishes. I feel like the right thing has occurred.
